Oh, and I only just found a scene selection setting that does night shots "hand held" which basically takes 5 photos and mashes them together to give you the best result

Need to try it out round Marina Bay again to get a feel for how much stronger it makes the night shots come out

It ain't cheap, the body is around £950 and the lens I was using is around £850

You get what you pay for though, its jam packed with functions and presets that really make it a joy to use

You'll be hard pressed to get it anywhere in the UK for at least a couple more months I suspect, but you could try pre-ordering from WEX photographic (Warehouseexpress.com)

Completely agree, plus people don’t have an issue spending £50+ on a jumper that probably only lasts 12-18 months. I get the feeling the blunt umbrellas will last a darn sight longer, but only time will tell.

it’s strange feeling I know but I too just got a blunt and realise that some things in life are worth the extra stretch. I just hope the product lasts like the literature says it will. Let’s compare notes in 5 yrs.

Yes, with our visa we are left to find our own role, not luck so far but we are hoping after this week we will hear something. We can pick up our visa after we have been offered the job.

Damaging it, or maybe just restoring it to where it started out. I’ve never had a particularly high view of Sony (and just FYI I actually designed their first comprehensive CPG website back in the mid-1990s), and if anything have felt they epitomized the sort of soul-less corporate behemoth that makes decent products (but has slipped in the past decade).

As lifelong photographer, I NEVER considered Sony a player, not even remotely, so my surprise when they announced the Nex 7, and astonishment when the most respected reviewers gushed over it, led me to a whole new consideration of the brand.

Well congratulations, Sony. You’ve quickly restored yourself to the bronze podium, which is where I had you before. Or maybe it’s the pewter podium…
